Those who draw a salary of Rs. 6500 or below have to join in EPF statutorily. Those who have a salary of more than Rs. 6500 and already registered with PF have continue till the the end of service. i.e in the above two cases Employer has no roll to exempt them PF.
Those who draw more than Rs. 6500 as salary and not registered in PF have no statutory obligation to join PF.
In all the above three cases, there is no need to get consent from the employee by the employer.
