Dear Tiwari,
Your way of approaching was good.But then employees who come under ESI are below income level,so we cannot stop their bread and butter.
We cannot be that rude to employees i feel,But then if they are not concerened about themselves,We have to behave in a way you have done.
I agree with your decision.

Let employees bring their family photos on themself and then u present them to esic. or if ur organization had collected such photos for any madical claim seek the record and present them. or u can ask for some more time. as possible perform the things be positive dont get tensed.

Hello Friends, Family photographs are not accepted by ESIC any more. Employees family has to visit ESIC and get clicked, They also take finger prints of each of the family members. Siddharth

Explain them benefits of ESIC,and make them aware if they dont do this then what is the loss to them
By this way you can access your work otherwise put notice with sign of higher authority who has cetral controll in your company.

Real estate cos are coverable only if the strength of employees (to take into account only the employees who are drawing gross salaries less than 15000pm ) reach 20. Since that strength is only 10 now in your case. So u need not worry until it reaches 20. But wait a minute... or this purpose you have to add both your regular employees, temps, contract employees too to reach the threshold limit of 20. So check again and proceed.

i will add one more IMPORTANT POINT to Mr. ramesh post... that if ur employees including ur immediate employees.i.e.including your SECURITY PERSONS, etc. also touch 20 u have to cover ur unit. Further in very near future all the state govts. are going to change their figure under shops and estt. as 10 instead of 20. if that is the case, ur unit also coverable in very soon.......

Dear Kavitha,
Employees always try to escape from these type of situations If the employees have not known about the ESI benefits. pls let them know about the benefits of esi and smart card and arrange for the photo session. Even though some employees may absent for some reasons, for them u can give a solution that, they can directly go to the esi local office with their esi ID card and dependents to attend photo session for smart card.

Myself Vinod Kamble, Im faculty of commerce, Im pursing Ph.D in commerce on topic Employee satisfaction from ESIC services, wherein I want to get a questionnaire filled from the employees who were admitted int he ESIC hospitals.
