Dear Ankita,
I can write points on retention which you can preapre PPT.
1. Conduct Employee Satisfaction survey to understand the feeling/moral of people about the organisation.
2. find out the relationship between Superiors & subordinates. In majority of employees leaving their Bosses not company.
3. Establish the culture on "Ownership" among the enmployees. They feel that "Its my own Company".
4. Conduct training, motivational programmes. Allow employees to participate in meeting, gathering, cultural activities.
5. Conduct small picnic for employees, family day programme, children participation in drawing / quiz etc. Distribute the prizes to them.
6. Form small group (tool box meeting) , ask them to discuss improvement in organsation and ask them to lead the activities.
7. Offer handsome perks/ salaries parell to other industry.
8. Consistently work on employee development programme.

Strategies to combat Attrition and

Corresponding Management Practices (including HR)

* Create a clean, happy & fun Environment.:

* Time and again, I stress that a neat, tidy and safe workplace

is the prime requirement. Even a chemical factory can be

made a happy environment by focusing on good manufacturing

practices (GMP), adequate and reliable equipment, safety

provisions, health care initiatives beyond

statutory requirements, clean uniforms and excellent greenery

around.

* Birthday Wishes, Marriage day greetings for the employees

in the Notice boards on respective dates.

* A personal greeting and handshake at the workplace by

Senior Management.

* Sports Day, Foundation Day, Picnics, Quiz, Environment Day,

Bachelors' Day.. Oh! Fun should excite and energise the

Workplace!

* Ensure that communication channels are not clogged:

* It is advisable that the CEO meets, addresses and has lunch

with employees at least once in a quarter. The CEO can

provide data on performance in previous quarter and

explain plan for the next quarter, detailing the S-C-O-T.

This can be followed by a Q &A session.

* On any day, any employee can communicate to the CEO

in writing and deposit the paper in a designated box.

* CEO/ HR Chief can meet the employees with concerns on a

particular day every fortnight.

* An in-house journal, if possible.

* Exhibit care for employees in distress:

* In case of hospitalisation of the employee or

in case of death of a family member

HR executive should visit hospital/home, take empowered

decisions and extend necessary help.

* Build and implement a fair performance management system:

*Define clearly objectives/KRAs in specific terms with respect

quantity & time.

* Subjective elements to be reduced to minimum.

* Consider 360 Deg. feedback.

* The superior will conduct the performance appraisal of the

employee; HR man will be present for observation and

ensuring fairness.

* Let the ambitions of the employees be known:

*" Where do you want to be in 5/10 years from now?"

Ask every employee to write down his/her ambition,

skills& knowledge he/she should acquire, areas for

improvement, his/her year wise plan to achieve and

support required to achieve.

This exercise guided and monitored by HR will lead

the employee to introspect his/her own capabilities

and to measure the distance to be travelled to

reach the ambition target.
