The same rule as is applicable to establishment of proprietor, partnership, private limited companies or public limited companies is applicable to cooperative societies also. As such there should be allowed a weekly off after six days of work. An establishment which works for 7 days due to public requirements like hospitals, hotels etc need not close a particular day as weekly closure but the employees should be given be given one day off after six days which can be staggered. This rule applies to all such establishments including one under cooperative management which run 7X24 basis with the approval of the appropriate government.
