Hi all,
I have joined this PSU at lower management in 2005 when the company was having monstrous profit of more than 3500 crores. But at present the loss value is in thousand crores. There are many ways to get it out of trouble but Government seems reluctant enough to bring out othe wholly owned company of government of India from trouble. The upper management of PSU is ruled by so called elite Officers who are not at all responsible to PSU. Whereas even the non management staff is also able to view the trouble why is the management ignoring the concern. Sometimes it looks that this Company is also moving XX spectrum way. What to do?

Trying to change things rapidly is not the solution - if you feel that you can, at some point, make a difference then try to work your way to the top by going with the flow using tact and your intelligence to make small changes or causing small changes by telling the right things to the right people. Human beings are probably not corrupt by nature but with power comes exploitation or rather the chance of exploitation which is taken up by a group of people and then it becomes the norm. You can't fight the majority by trying to change them all at one go - you have to start small and discrete and convert one person at a time.
How far you succeed depends entirely on how intelligent and resourceful you are - the more leverage you have, the more chances you have of succeeding. You should start by making a lot of friends by doing small favors and making yourself an important cog in the machine.

Sid
