1)Whom should I give back my appointment letter?
A copy of appointment letter OR original appointment letter?
2)Does company provide a bank a/c for salary transactions to employee? OR employee himself open a bank a/c and give to company? If so, whom he should give his details in the company?
3)Who provide PF,ESI,Gratuity a/c? Company or ourself(employee) side?
4)When employee gets ESI,Gratuty to his salary? after working 90 days or more?
5)What are other formalities anew employee should do?

Q-1) Whom should I give back my appointment letter?

A copy of appointment letter OR original appointment letter?

A-1) Normally the Appointment Letter / Offer of Employment letter is issued in Duplicate Copy, One copy for your records and another copy you must sign on that as you Accept the terms and conditions and you will join on (date), and hand over the copy to HR/Personnel Department of the Organisation.

Q-2) Does company provide a bank a/c for salary transactions to employee? OR employee himself open a bank a/c and give to company? If so, whom he should give his details in the company?

A-2) Normally you must open a SB Account in the back referred by your organisation and submit the Account No to the Accounts/Finance Department through HR/Personnel Department, so that your salary can be credited on that account. For the convenience of the employee, some companies will call the representative of the bank and help you in opening the Savings Account for which you must give the name & address proof, photos and if required a xerox copy of the appointment / Offer of employment letter to the bank representative for opening an account.

Q-3) Who provide PF,ESI,Gratuity a/c? Company or ourself(employee) side?

A-3) The company will allot the PF, ESI No for all the employees and in the same account the contributions deducted from you and the employer part will be credited.

Q-4) When employee gets ESI,Gratuty to his salary? after working 90 days or more?

A-4) Your querry is not clear. Normally the ESI Benefits will commence immediately after joining the organisation and on receipt of ESI Card. For gratuity you will get at the time of leaving the service and not on your salary.

Q-5) What are other formalities anew employee should do?

A-5) The Formalities differs from company to company. Normally one has to fill the employee details proforma, PF/ESI related Form, Gratuity Nomination Form and any other relevant forms required by HR / Personnel Department & Accounts /Finance Department.

Thank you very much dear Bhasker sir. But what if the employee is a HR? And giving back appointletter means don't we have any appointment letter copy after submission. No use of that there?. At pf matter, who is the employer (Is this chairman) And his part limited to basic 6500/-? How would be like 1st week of a new hr in his job?

Your Query is not clear
If the employee is a HR, then also he must submit a signed copy of the Offer of employment as accepted and you must save the same in your personal file to be maintained by HR Department. Even while dealing your personal data you must deal as like dealing with others records. Then only you will be a true HR. The employer is your organisation and you will be the authorised person to allot the PF Number / ESI Number for all employees as well as yours.
There is no such restriction as Rs.6500/- for PF Contribution. But Rs.6500/- is the ceiling only for EPS and EDLI Contribution. Instead of 8.33% EPS, you will remit Rs.541/- in EPS and balance will be remitted in Employer PF instead of 3.67%.
The first day, first week, first month in the job of HR will depend on his morale, enthusiasm, knowledge, interest towards implementing new rules, policies, initiations whatever you take, your involvement also counts to ascertain your feelings.

7) What an employee should do to org. officials if he/she converts to another religion/caste( I mean some caste status changed on some grounds also)?
8)How to answer in interviews if he/she has a gap after studies (to job)?
9) Somewhere I did read HRs often go outside in their job. But HR is a different and very classic job. I can't imagine to see HRs on field type job profile. And when would they go outside and what for. Any legal related?
10)If a fresher starts his career in HR. Which position he would be given. I mean what's his job profile at starting executive position? And how many years needed to become executive to manager?

Yes. This column is required not for having the religion or caste discrimination but in case if the employee dies, the final rites will be conducted based on the religion/caste mentioned in the Bio Data Form.

7) What an employee should do to org. officials if he/she converts to another religion/caste( I mean some caste status changed on some grounds also)?

The employee has to intimate the same in writing to the HR/Personnel Department, so that the same will be updated in the personal file of the employee. For this self declaration of the individual is more than sufficient.

8)How to answer in interviews if he/she has a gap after studies (to job)?

This question has been replied by our learned members many times in this forum, you can use the Research option available on the top of this page.

Maintaining the cordial relationship with the Local Bodies, Police People, Government Officials, Legal cases and maintaining the Statutory Obligation is also a part of HR. Hence the HR has to go out and perform their task.

This depends on how he performs his interview and his work performance. The position offered will vary from organisation to organisation. The years to reach the managerial cadre depends on his performance, his company policy and his knowledge in dealing with the issues/employees.

@ 6,7.
I have converted to another religion and according to constitution, this change makes change in both caste and religion. But now I have no proof to show. It takes some time to get in certificate by govt. officials.
So then, can I fill this new info if I get a job and they ask religion/caste details? OR proof is must as for govt. jobs?

Normally Untill unless you claim any benefits by quoting your caste and religion, these caste, community, religion certificates are not at all required. You will be considered as General Category Candidate.
Even to join in school as student nowadays you need not to give any community name and it is not mandatory.

Yes sir. But new change will make me from SC to OBC (Not general). So can I write this new detail along this caste and religion without any document proofs for this?

NO. If you want to compete in the specified category, then you must produce the Community certificate duly issued by the Tahsildar of your area. Otherwise you will be treated as General Category only.
