During the last call, HR displayed rudeness towards me when I requested the extension of the joining date, showing dissatisfaction. This situation worries me as there is a possibility they might reject my candidature, putting me in a difficult situation.

Hi HR is not a demon. As HR agreed for the revised date over phone just report on the stipulated date. By the by I remember answering same question few days back in another thread by you.

If you think there could be a problem entering the office premises on the revised date of joining, please write a polite email to HR stating that you will be reporting at a specific time on a specific date, as verbally confirmed by HR. Carry a printout of the email with you.
