Simran, you have a valid point of avoidance of data duplication. however do use "time" calculations as a base line in various HR processes for calculating efficiency/ effectiveness metrics. surya

Thanks for replying.
We do not do any computation for employee effeciency. its the Project managers who compute and send the hours to Germany as the parent company is German. they do the computation as per the project also.
Do you think HR needs to keep a track of the time sheet in this particular case?
Is it in any way related to the leave policy?

simran,
it can be skipped if your project manger is doing it.
however start calculating the cycle time of various processes in HR eg if one appplies for leave, how much time does it take from start to finish..
pick one process at a time and remove bottlenecks etc..

Dear friends,
Time sheet concept is used to analyse the time taken to complete the task. By time sheet we come to know the employees strength, their efficiency, productivity, and time management.
Time sheet also help us know the work status, start time & finished time, time taken to complete task and its time of completeness. It is also helpful to compare employees of same organization and same designation , same work and time taken by them.
best regards
Kamal......
