Hi,
I wish to understand what counts as the most wanted... Experience or the Degree.
If a candidate had pursued his / her degree through Distance Education mode (for some personal reasons - which could be a valid) and possess good knowledge, exposure and experience in the area of operation, why should he/she be denied for selection?
Because it is imperative to check if the candidate possess skills that are best suited for the job rather than checking from which school he /she graduated? I admit that is important.
WOULD AT ALL THERE BE A SITUATION / EXCEPTION WHERE THE IT MNCS ACCEPT THE CANDIDATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE RATHER THAN THE DEGREE...??
Pls let me know your views..............

Hi Hema,
Your concern is very valid, genuine and something that bothers the denied majority.
Here is a probable reason to it:
Every company, esp. the top ones, follow a certain process in order to maintain a particular quality level set by the Quality Control Standards. We have all heard of ISO, CMM Levels etc.
Say, if a company is CMM Level 5, then they would make sure that a prospective employee meets a certain criteria of education to be eligible for the position in that company.
Higher the quality standards, difficult it is for an ordinary person to get into.
I hpoe that answers your question.
