my topic is :::- [Stress, Emotional Intelligence and employee retention: a case study in retail industries.]
the question is; im not so sure with my proposal if im doing it right or the other way round.
secondly; any tips or advice during proposal defense?

It is not clear, from your post, as to what you are doing, by what mode. As you say you have to defend your proposal, it looks as though it may for an M Phil or PhD degree. As you have not given any information on the aim and objectives, methodology, etc., it is difficult to make a proper judgement. However, the topic looks interesting.
