I joined my company in May 2006 then after 4 months they internally transferred me to another group company then again in 2011 once again got internally transferred to the first company. Now in EPFO my date of joining is shown as 1.08.2011. Is it correct? All PF have been transferred to the existing company. What is the effect of DOJ on EPF?

Dear Colleague,
Transfer from one company to another does not affect your date of joining in to PF. The very first day of joining is your date of joining as far as PF is concerned. Now, you please check with your current Company whether company A and B are having one single PF Employer Code or different Code. If same then it is same employer code and you are also given same PF Number, then your PF accumulations will be in one A/c number.

If both company have different PF number and you are also given different PF numbers in the Company A and B, then you have to apply to transfer your PF accumulations to your current PF Number. This has to be done On-Line for which your current employer's HR will help you.
