Dear all, What are Training Modules ? Can some one suggest me on the methods of creating Training Module. Warm regards,

Hi,
Creating training modules is a process by itself. Before starting up the project you need to be specific
what you are looking/ aiming for?
Your target audience
Objectives of the module
At the end of the training what will the people gain
Method of delivering the training module etc.
After having the clarity in all these areas will help you to plan and design the training module. Once its completed it has to go through editing; adding graphics; testing and then run a pilot batch to get the feedback and then remodify if required. You need to follow all the steps of ADDIE.

Hi,

Would like to add few more important stuffs . A Training module would consist two parts

1 - > For the training organization

A training org could be your training department or an external agency which will execute the training based on your requirements. You will typically have the following

* You will have training module classified again into lessons & Topics

For example, Module could be making a presentation, lesson

will be Prepare for a presentation and topic could be collect

information

* In case the same module is handled by many trainers, you need to

have a standardized content with information to presenter / trainer on

what you expect them to say for each of the points(speaker notes)

* Course evaluation methods along with mid-course evaluation

techniques. you may have pre / post training evaluation / project...

* Formal or informal feedback during the course and mid-course

correction mechanism

* If the module is technical, then hardware / software checklist and other

infrastructure facilities that are required to execute the program along

with help information / contact information

* A well defined module objective attainment form

* What is the current competency level and what is expected at the end

of the program?



2 -> for your audience

* objective of the module

* Prerequisite to attend this module

* How will this help them to perform better in their current / future role

* suggested reading before attending the program

* Complete hand-outs with questionnaire, quiz, assessments / evaluation

* Do's & Don'ts ( dress code, usage of mobile, laptop, voice recorders )

* Access to additional information ( Library / internet ...)
