Hi Captain,
This topic has received a lot of responses all directing towards the same way. I agree to all of them with different opinions. I would like to say that the argument between book worms and street smatrt personnel ahs been an age old topic. But time and again street smart executives have always proven to be more efficient than the book worms. There a lot of really brilliant and talented MBA's that pass out of some of the best colleges in our country and on the other hand that are some that do the same MBA but while on the job do not succeed to succesfully make an efficient and practical financial year budget. Ponder over this and it may make sense that what you stated is very ambiguous and you cannot generalise.
Cheers!

Friends, thanks once again for somany responses. I appreciate your concern of my misunderstanding of Indians working abroad.

Actually, What people I met from India working in Specially middle east is totally different from what your understanding is all about them. People whom I met in middle east are purely nothing to do with any qualifications but they are economic migrant workforce and when they find scaresity of qualified doctors and engineers I found they import some relevent technicians from medical compounders as doctors to place them into Hospital as Doctors with fake Certificates. One among them I have seen cought and deported to India and I saw he was again caught in India for same offence. Here in Middle East many recruiting agencies are operated by kerlayte people they just push their people even technicians or socalled "Mistry" been projected as Engineers on the basis of fake Certificates. Basically, these certificates are useless because for work permit or "Iqma" these people are got recruited in place of vacant shortage of skills approved by the government for particular company.

THerefore even if he is doctor he is issued work permit for driver or messon, some engineers working on work permit of electrcians because company has already some one else on engineer work permit alloted quota.
There fore its shortage of manpower in the middle east as well as unwillingness of Arabs to work on such positions or proper education people are hired from all over the world including India, Philipine, Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangaladesh. But most of them are duplicate people working on their brothers certification who is employed in India with government etc etc....

Hi, Mr. Captain-cook
If you are doing any study upon India and its people, better get deep into its facts & realities and not upon the phony statements and comments of some Tom, Dick or Harry.
If you really peer into this country you may hit upon the most Qualified and Skilled personalities than in any part of the world.
As of Dubai progress the real brains behind are of the Indians who have taught them the way to utilize their economy.
The patients flowing in from other countries for treatments are with whole hearted faith and buoyancy they have in Indian doctors rather than the wealthy and expensive hospitals and treatments offered in other part of the world.
The towering amount of Indian Engineers and Doctors all over the world are well compete enough to challenge the world with their propitious skill which the world has already witnessed.

Consequently, we do not feel that any one would be tolerable to toss or hurl any unconstructive comment staying on the foundation of indistinct and blurred information’s.

Hello Captain,
Reading your posts, it just struck me, may be there is truth in what you are saying because despite the outbursts by so many you still stick to your line.
If what you are saying is true, then I should say that Dubai is the best place to get a job with fake degree's and certificates. Doesn't your Govt have some verification process. Dont you guys take some tests or interviews before you employ people. Instead of blaming the people who come and join you, I think you should look for answers within and ask the Govt to have stringent standards for selection.
Besides give a thought to what Mr Madhu said regarding the workforce in Kerala who are educated but unemployed and for economic reasons are ready to go and do blue collar work there and gradually move up to the right kind of work commensurating to their qualifications.

Colonel Sajan....BTW this colonel is not a fake but your Captain could be!!

Hi,
Sorry in my last post the word should have read as commensurate and not commensurating.
Another thought regarding degrees. While degrees are neccessary they are not essential in doing well in life in certain professions. Bill Gates did not have a degree when he founded MS. Neither do the dubbawallahs of Mumbai have any degree, yet they have 6 Sigma certification. Your neighbourhood veggie seller can teach us about Customer Service / Relationship Management better than a prof on the subject.
So it is not surprising to see enterprising people starting as drivers and ending up as managers of a transport company. Do they really need a degree. I think they would do better than most MBA's based on their sheer hands on experience. But yes, for a profession like medicine, we do need qualified people.
Your take now Captain.

Even to get into a small company in India candidates need to go through a vigorous background check and any discrepancy in the same the candidate will not be offered. It is very surprising that if a candidate with fake certificates cannot get into an Indian company, he can easily to go to Middle East( know for strict laws and implementation) get a work permit and work.
Mr. Cook before blaming others try to get your country's laws in place.
Don’t blame the thief that he robbed you blame yourself for being careless.

Thanks gentleman for your feedback.
I am not Middle Eastern but its our general impression when we see Crooks arround in middle east we thought its trend here in 3rd world countries to due to lack of knowhow and intellectual capital people do any job without proper qualifications.

Actually, for work permits in middle east no qualification been varified or authenticity been counter checked at any point of time and organizations here been granted employment visa to engaged employee in skills shortage jobs listed by the labour department. SO recruitment agencies cameoflauged candidates with fake identity and certification because what matters is only entry to UAE or middle eastern countries and subsequent work permit as messon, drivers, labourers, operators etc which is totally manipulated and even highly qualified people such as engineers, doctors working on technicians and electricians work permit becasue doctors or engineers work permit used by some one else may be driver or operators using that quota of particular organization. If I am employer I can recruit people with fake organization registration. Many local Arabs areselling these visas to the people or agents to further sale to migrant workforce from India, bangladesh, pakistan who spend over 200,000 to 300,000 for migration and work permit to work here and they work here as barber for over 7 to 8 years to recover these spendings on buying visa permit from Arabs.

I am not abuse anyone but to share truth, I can say if poor fraud people can mirgate why not Genuine people can migrate and earn more money instead of fraud people.

Warm regards

Captain
