Dear All,
Pls suggest, following pt calculations are correct?
1. PT slab Gross 10,000-14,999 Rs. 150/-
2. Above 15000/- Rs. 200.00
Question: We are including bonus for gross salary. if it\'s more then 10,000/- we will deduct pt amount.
Example: Employees (Basic Salary 5000(it\'s our bonus), Gross Salary 9600/- per month.
our pt calculation is Gross salary +(Basic Salary/12)
=9600+417(bonus per month) = 10017
for 10,017/- we will deduct Rs. 150 per month.
or it\'s possible to take into account in any one month for calender year.

Dear
Formost to clear you that BONUS is not paid every month.
It's paid once in a calendra year and it is included in the gross amount and professional tax is deducted.
Hope your calculating CTC amount every month. (As shown in above example).
Please Just don't get your self confussed.
Gross amount = All the allowance + OT Amount should be included.
You get good package software in the market where it is programed and done automatically (Payroll Package) . - Have to link your state Professional Tax slab to it.
