Hi , everyone, this is saif(hasectic) an indian.
first of all i would like to define culture in a layman way: culture is learned and shared behavior of a community of interacting human beings.
language, gestures, tools to enable them to survive and prosper
traditions
religious beliefs and rituals,
dress, art, and music
- so culture is based on your social tradition.
- Indian culture is very much good "either it's flexible or not"
we learn respect for parents, teacher, relatives because of our culture
our belief in holy books "Vedas" "Qura'an" is rigid so that we are bounded by some rules . it's helpful for our life as a balanced, creative life.
our dress, different language is our symbol.
so i think i'm proud to be an indian with its culture in their proper way
some thing is wrong:
satipartha(Ritual of burning ladies on funeral pyre of their dead husbands),
balvivah child marriage
bal sharam child labour

today's problem is really vast. i would like to take few examples before i comment on this article. examples of china , japan, and some European countries like Spain and Italy - in these countries , people speak their own language and love their local food .and i seriously don't wanna rope in religions because every religion has its own pros and cons. and i believe blaming others for our incompetence is truly cowardice , we have to start accepting our mistakes and move forward. coming back to the topic , Indian culture has its own set of values , morals and ethics which no one can deny. but today's problem is we Indians are forgetting our culture and we have started accepting western culture in every field , be it music , language , food etc, if we don't save our culture , then who will? A person , who does not speak English or does not listen to western music is viewed as a inferior person to the one who does it. We have had , a lot of great people , from lord ram to lord Mahaveer to lord Buddha and the ten Sikh gurus - who have thought the world non violence and peace. Indian culture has thought the world what religious tolerance is. In light of the above fact we forgetting our own culture and accepting a culture which not exactly but has thought violence , we accept it . we have given the world morals, ethics and our we ourselves forgetting them. so i believe that it is our moral duty to protect our culture and take our culture , our languages , our food habits , our music forward and show the world the strength of Indian culture .

The reasons what you say, like no phone manners or punctuality are not related with culture or something. People who are illiterates or who have lived all their lives in villages, may not behave well as westerns do. Even the western people will look the same if he is in similar state. India didn't develop as westerns did, because the population was huge, and it was all left poor when it got independence from the British. About 90% was poor at the time of independence. It takes time to develop. On the other hand Indian culture is great, there is no culture which tells you to see god in every body and treat the guest as god. Some people seem backward because they are ignorant of their own culture, they don't read bhagavadgita etc. and they are also ignorant of modern culture.
But it is nothing compared to Western cultures where everybody is compared. Most kids use drugs. Shootings at public places. Most importantly it has no meaning of family, considering the divorce rate. A family isn't something which has a dad, mom and kids, they all must be related. Even a person who doesn't know how to talk on phone knows this.

Dear All,

I think the western work culture is far more superior than our, as each and every person their understands his/her rights in office and outside office also.

Below is the personal experience i Quote
"One of the consultant/ contractor working with us did not reveal his former superior/ managers name and number for background verification as he had signed a NDA with his previous company"

His response was pretty clear even if i get a well paid job i cannot give details due to NDA,If i breach the NDA i might be sued, i will check with my previous employer and revert.

You can clearly see that people are so much worried about Law, that they follow it in such simple matters also, you all are very much aware about India cases.

Also most Indian lives in rural areas and they are very Rigid. Only people in big metros are flexible and follow little bit of rules and company policies as far as they can be tolerated. If they feel its unjust they switch companies.

Many of us don't understand that rules are made for our safety and better living, we always try not to follow the rules and give lame excuses.

Fact that life is our choice we can live in our way no one can object it ,it is a rule but in the matter of culture
