Can anyone tell me what is the time limit to issue the Employer Code under the ESIC Act after submitting the duly filled registration form with all requisite documents attached? The form was submitted on 28 Jan 2009, and I have not received any correspondence in this regard from the ESIC regional office yet. Please advise.

You should receive it within 10-15 days. Please go and contact them immediately and deposit the ESI every month by writing an application; otherwise, you will incur interest and penalties.
