Hi,

This is a conversion ratio:

No. of Interviews : Offers
Offer: Appointment
Interview: Appointment

The calculation is as follows:
E.g. Total candidates attended interviews: 50
Offered employment: 10
Offer accepted: 5

Interview/offer ratio: 10/50 * 100 = 20%
Offer/acceptance ratio: 5/10 * 100 = 50%

Hope this helps.

Hi Yashsva,

It definitely helps an HR to prove their worth. It reflects on factors such as the HR's soft skills in displaying their company's image, the acceptance of your company by people outside the industry, and the reasons why people will join based on their induction interviews (the more new joiners, the better the feedback). It also reflects the HR's negotiation and convincing skills when dealing with candidates. If the percentage of new joiners is lower compared to the offers, we should sense a problem and conduct introspection. This also provides insights into how our company is perceived, how the salary structure is viewed compared to the market, and what attracts candidates.

All of these aspects need to be considered by the HR.
