Hi all. I recently graduated from an MBA institute with 2.5 years of experience pre-MBA. I got hired by XXX, and we received the BGC form to fill online. At the time of application, I had put my joining date in the second company (a small one with 6 employees that I joined for marketing experience) as June 10th. However, in the experience certificate, it's given as June 12th. This confusion is because my interview was on June 10, a Saturday, while the joining was on the following Monday. I have inadvertently made this mistake and confirmed the BGC documents. Will this create issues in BGV? I'm an on-campus hire, and the college had already done the verification for the company once. I'm worried because since the company is small and there is some mistake on my side, BGV might fail. I worked there only for 10 months, and XXX interviews mainly focused on my IT employment before that. Will I lose this job because of BGV? There is no way to change it, and I found this out after the submission of the form. I'm really scared; please help me.
Also, I had no employee code/PF, which I have already mentioned to HR during hiring, and the salary was in the form of account transfers for which I have uploaded proof with a seal. Will they doubt my candidature?

In this situation, it's crucial to address the discrepancy in the joining dates proactively. Contact the HR department immediately, explain the genuine reason for the error, and provide any supporting documentation you have. Emphasize that it was an unintentional mistake and offer to rectify it if necessary. Transparency and honesty are key in such cases. Additionally, highlight your willingness to cooperate with any further verification processes to ensure clarity. By taking these steps promptly and professionally, you can mitigate any potential issues that may arise during the background verification process.
