Good morning to all,

We have started a new factory at the same location where the old one exists, with a road between the two units. We have a separate labor license for the new unit. Now, I want to know the status of ESI & PF for employees transferred from the old unit to the new unit. Should I continue with the same EPF & ESIC numbers for both units? The new unit is used for manufacturing purposes only; there are no sales invoices and no separate administrative office for the new unit. All operations will happen from the main unit only. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thank you.

Dear Sir,

You should not continue the EPF and ESIC in the same number. You want to transfer the EPF to the new unit, and ESIC, what you mentioned, you have to take the new number.
