Can someone tell me briefly about the roles of an employee in compliance management? I need to present a lecture on this topic at my college. Please provide a brief overview of compliance and the roles of an employee in compliance management.

Key Points on Employee Compliance Responsibilities

1) An employee shall submit clear proof of their age at the time of joining, as there are provisions under the Factories Act barring children/adolescents from performing certain work.

2) An employee shall submit a declaration form under the ESI Act at the time of joining.

3) They shall submit a declaration form in Form 11 under the P.F. Act.

4) They shall furnish the details of their family for ESI purposes.

5) They shall submit a passport-sized photo of themselves and their family for ESI purposes/employment card, etc.

6) They have to submit a nomination form for gratuity/P.F. purposes.

7) A woman employee shall give notice of pregnancy to the employer.

8) A woman employee shall nominate a person who is authorized to receive maternity benefits on her behalf.

9) If they are a witness to any accident occurring on the premises of the employer, injuring any employee, they shall bring it to the notice of the employer.

10) An employee shall not indulge in double employment since it is prohibited under the Shops Act.

11) An employee shall refrain from smoking on the premises, particularly when the industry is dealing with inflammable material.
