Dear Seniors, Good afternoon to you all. My office has declared a holiday on 31st May 2012 in support of the Bharat Bandh. Please help me with what I should write in the email.

Draft Email for Bharat Bandh Holiday Announcement

Is it okay if I write like this?

Dear All,

As we know, the BJP has announced a Bharat Bandh on 31st May 2012 to protest against the hike in petrol prices. To show our support, the management has declared a holiday tomorrow.

Best Regards,
Team HR

No, dear, you should not use this type of language because you are in the industry, not a political office. In my opinion, it is not correct. If you write this, in the future, when any other political party asks for a closure, your employees may request the same from you.

Simply write about another issue that shows support for employees so that all employees will appreciate you and your company.
