I am currently pursuing a 1-year Post Graduate Diploma in HRM in Bangalore.

We have been assigned a case study focusing on Rehman inheriting the business of Moradabad Brass Industries in 2003 at the age of 24. Sayeed, his father, a fair-minded craftsman with a passion for quality, started a sales outlet in 1970. Shaikh, Sayeed's cousin, managed the business. A significant conflict arose when ownership was transferred to Rehman, leading to Shaikh undermining the business by luring skilled craftsmen to his side. Rehman, an MBA graduate specializing in HRD, faces the challenge of a major order for decorative brasswares from Madurai, with key workers leaving due to instigation by Sayeed.

Rehman realizes the need for a comprehensive manpower plan to address the workforce gap and modernize production facilities by hiring a mechanical engineer. The modernization process is expected to take 8-10 months, requiring seven skilled workers to operate new machinery. Training these workers is crucial to enhance competency.
