I am curious to know which act or regulation governs the provision of national holidays in Central Government undertakings. Since my organization is located in Jharkhand, I referred to the Bihar Industrial Establishment Bill (National and Festival Holidays and Casual Leave), 1971, as available on the Govt of Jharkhand website (copy attached). However, as per Section 12 of the mentioned Act, it does not apply to mines or industrial establishments under government control.
