Hi guys, Please share your honest views as per your knowledge.

My Experience with Workplace Politics

I was employed as a mid-senior level employee in an MNC for 2 years. It was early during COVID-19 when my colleague became my reporting manager, and things started taking the shape of politics, which eventually hampered my health and mental peace.

Later, after treatment from almost three doctors, I rejoined, but I was literally bullied with all the politeness that can be shown in the office. Since it was my first career job, I didn't know how to respond to those cheap tactics and torture.

However, I didn't give up and stood my ground. Later, I was told by a super senior, "Why are you here? You will be placed somewhere else. Go to the head office as the next salary won't be credited from this office's accounts department," when he was going to the washroom.

The Head Office Experience

I came to the head office, and they asked me to wait. After waiting for 2-3 months, they fired me, saying I was not reporting to my office. The worst thing was when I went to ask the so-called National HR in the head office. He said, "Teri aesi profile banaunga ki kahi India me job nahi milegi," i.e., "I will make such a case that you will never get a job in India."

Struggles After Leaving the Company

I left the company in the hope of finding a better opportunity, but either due to hard luck or due to the National HR's action, I didn't get any opportunity to appear for any good company interview rounds.

I remained unemployed for almost 10 months and had to compromise with a startup. From that time, I have been struggling.

Main Question

My main question is, is it possible that the National HR would have done something because of which I am not getting any opportunity in any good company? If yes, how can I remove that from my profile?

Please tell.

These are only threats and not practical. It is true that if the HR person is extreme, he may give negative feedback in a background verification. However, the chances of that are very remote. He should have forgotten what happened between you and him. That need not be taken seriously. If you still feel concerned, you can meet him personally to resolve it.
