I'm new in HR and have recently come across a time tracking tool, TMetric, that is mostly used in business for employee monitoring. It does have good features such as activity recording, screenshot capturing, work schedules, time-off management, etc., but I'm wondering if any of you here have used it? Before implementing, it would be beneficial to hear about your experience in other companies.

Concerns About Employee Monitoring Tools
I have not used that tool, but is it acceptable in your organization and to your employees? Most employees may be against it because they feel it invades their privacy, giving you access to any private matters, even something someone may say against a boss. You may have people leaving the organization just because of that.
Evaluating the Need for Monitoring Tools
The next question is, why do you need such an elaborate tool? Is your work that time-sensitive, or is it that you feel people are not doing their work or are using company resources for private activities? Maybe then you need to change the management style or get the right people to work for you.
