Please help me, I'm working in a technical institution where courses such as welding, scaffolding, fitting, etc., are provided to candidates.

Due to COVID-19, all the employees have been asked to sit at home without pay. In this situation, are PF, ESIC, and PT compliance contributions made by the employer? If not, what is the procedure to do so? Are any documents required for that?

Non-payment of salary should not be the real reason for not paying PF or ESI because PF or ESI is to be paid on salary payable. That means it is expected to pay it and then deduct the employees' share when you pay their salary. What is important is that there is no salary due because of no work. When there is no work, no worker attended the office and hence salary is not due. When there is no salary due, no PF or ESI is payable.
