Hi Team,
In one of the organizations I was working honestly and dedicatedly. The boss was also happy, and interactions with the boss were positive. One day, I had a fight with the canteen vendor over the quality of food. Instead of supporting me, my boss was disappointed and started harassing me with a lot of workload, labeling me a non-performer. After six months, he suddenly called me to his cabin and asked me to resign or accept termination. I was in trauma and left the organization with a question - where did I go wrong?
After four months, I found an opportunity in a place where the culture was already not good. Despite hesitations, I joined due to financial needs. There was no one to guide me on my Key Result Areas (KRA). After continuous follow-ups with the boss, I started working full-fledged. The Purchase and Accounts departments appreciated my work, stating that I took over the role very quickly, and it seemed like I had completed a year. Confirmation was due, but after reminding my boss for seven months, he suddenly called me into his cabin and asked me to resign due to manpower reduction. He mentioned that my performance was okay, but feedback from other departments was not good. How is this possible?
Why do people choose to sack me? Could it be because I don't visit the boss's cabin frequently, gossip with him, or take care of his personal work? Please answer and help me out so I may not face this situation again.

Thank you, V.M. Lakshminarayanan Sir,
It's not that I have not maintained good interpersonal skills. Within no time, I have made good relations with other department people and made friends too. My immediate boss always had a complaint for one thing or another. If he gave me a task, I completed it on time. It's not that I have not discussed with him or asked for timely feedback. He himself used to dislike my other colleague and used to appreciate me. Suddenly, his perception changed towards me, and I was shocked by his behavior.
Everyone was good to me; from all the departments, I was receiving appreciations. So, why did complaints suddenly arise during confirmations? Wherever I go, I always try to calm and help everyone.

Dear Madam,
From your version of the goings-on in your organizations, it is difficult to pinpoint what has gone wrong. As you know, work relationships with colleagues, bosses, and immediate superiors get shaped based on how you have carried out your daily tasks, how you have conducted yourself in various work situations. If you believe that you have been honest and your relationship is frictionless, then how does an antagonistic perception take place? You know you can't clap with one hand, and there is no smoke without fire. Work relationships are a two-way process, and you will be the best judge of what is going wrong.
You need to analyze it impartially and make a decision on whether to continue working here or look for better options. It is difficult for us to grasp the realities of your workplace relationships from a distance.
