My father retired last year from his job on 30th April 2017. However, his pension has not started yet. He worked for 18 years with one company and 17 years with another, totaling a tenure of 35 years. We are now looking to consolidate both companies' pensions in a single place. Could you please provide us with a list of required documents for merging the pensions from both companies?

You have to contact the local PF office for help. While there may not be much of a problem in sorting out the pension with respect to the latter part of service, tracing out the particulars after 17 years is not an easy task. But if the pension number is the same, then the task is rendered easier.
