Employee Engagement

Employee engagement is a two-way commitment and communication between an organization and its employees, based on trust and integrity. It is an approach that increases the chances of business success, contributing to organizational and individual performance, productivity, and well-being. It can be nurtured and dramatically increased; it can also be lost and thrown away.

Employee engagement gives each individual employee the belief to get up in the morning thinking, "Great, I'm going to work. I know what I'm going to do today. I've got some great ideas about how to do it really well. I'm looking forward to seeing the team and helping them work well today."

While browsing through the internet, I found a wonderful article related to employee engagement, which I converted into a presentation for you all. I hope this may be helpful.

Dear Supriya, I have gone through the presentation on employee engagement. Over the past couple of years, employee engagement has become a buzzword that has gained momentum in the HR fraternity.

The Importance of Office Games

The ten steps that you have provided do not mention conducting games in the office. This forum is filled with queries on office games to enhance employee engagement. Do these games really improve employee engagement? This question could have been addressed.

Citing Sources for Credibility

Throughout the slides, you have cited the source of your information as the "Internet." This is quite vague. It would be beneficial to insert the links to your sources for better credibility.

Measuring Employee Engagement

Above all, the presentation does not discuss how to measure Employee Engagement. The theory of HR Analytics relies on the outcomes of employee engagement. Therefore, measuring EE activities is crucial. Does increased engagement translate into better business results? There is no mention of this! While you have presented the HR views on EE, what do industry owners think? Do they believe in this HR jargon? Will they increase the HR budget to enhance EE? These questions remain unanswered.

Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
