One employee was on maternity leave from 01-04-2017 to 14-11-2017. The company announced an increment in Oct-2017 effective from 01-04-2017. In this situation, is the employee eligible to receive the increment during the period of maternity leave?

Being on Maternity leave does not make her ineligible for increment. She must get her increment on due date but as I a understand financial benefits will be after she joins back on duty.
