Dear Sir/Madam,
Please let me know, after transferring the contribution by Form 31 in EPFO, which date of joining should be put in Form 19 & 10C during PF withdrawal - from the 1st employment or the 2nd employment?
For instance, if a man worked in company X for 2 years and in another company Y for 3 years, after transferring from X to Y, his contribution period will be 5 years. In this scenario, should the date of joining of company X be considered valid for PF withdrawal or that of company Y?
Thank you.

Hi Anuj,
When an employee leaves X company and joins Y company, X company will update the exit details of that employee in their EPFO portal. Upon joining Y company, the HR at Y company will input the joining details in the EPFO portal using the employee's existing UAN number. Therefore, the valid date of joining (DOJ) will be as per Y company's records only.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you see any mistakes :)
