In my manufacturing company, many employees are not ready to deduct the EPF portion, and the company is convincing not to deduct EPF for those employees whose salary is above 15000. Whenever I oppose this, they advise me to do so. Please confirm the legal obligation of EPF deduction.

If the employee has never been a member of EPF and is currently drawing basic + DA above 15000 PM, then it is up to the employee to accept or refuse the membership for EPF. However, the employer has to offer the same to all employees and has to get Form 11 signed from the employee for both contributing and refusing.
Once a person becomes contributory to EPF, they cannot be excluded in any case.
