Dear all,

Currently, I am working in an Administration profile. While working, I completed an MBA in HR through distance learning but couldn't grasp a good understanding of HR profiles. Please help me to learn HR profile work. Which steps should I follow to learn HR work? My focus is on HR generalist work and HR/IR work.

Thank you.

To transition from an Administration profile to HR, consider the following steps:

1. Understand HR Fundamentals:
- Familiarize yourself with basic HR concepts, such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and labor laws.

2. Specialize in HR Generalist Work:
- Focus on areas like employee onboarding, policy development, and HR compliance.

3. Learn HR/IR Practices:
- Study Industrial Relations (IR) principles, conflict resolution, and negotiation techniques.

4. Gain Practical Experience:
- Seek opportunities to apply your knowledge through internships, projects, or volunteering in HR departments.

5. Networking:
- Connect with HR professionals, join HR forums, and attend workshops to expand your knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.

6. Continuous Learning:
- Enroll in specialized HR courses, attend seminars, and read HR-related books to enhance your expertise.

7. Certifications:
- Consider pursuing HR certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR to validate your skills and knowledge.

By following these steps, you can progressively advance your understanding and skills in HR, paving the way for a successful transition into HR generalist and HR/IR roles.
