Hi Everyone,

The question I have is regarding punctuality. In our company, we do keep track of the in-time & out-time of each employee through e-attendance, but if the employee is late for many days, how can we inform them about it and how will it affect them? Also, what is the best time period for informing them or the Head of Department? Is it a week, daily, or monthly? Kindly provide me some suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Give weekly reports to the Head of Department (HOD) and daily reports of latecomers to the immediate manager/supervisor. Use a machine to generate statistics about reporting. Make it a kind of Management Information System (MIS) for the use of management. Punctuality is a hallmark of a disciplined employee.

Dear Sybilla,

It's best that you share the weekly report with HODs, highlighting the latecomers. Also, for a few months, keep department-wise sessions to discuss the problems related to late coming and other issues.

Thank you.
