The OD interventions can be in any and all areas/functions or departments of an organization where things are required to be overhauled. For example, HR OD interventions will include performance appraisals, performance management systems, forms, etc., competency mapping in specific functionary departments or across departments like engineering, IT, Finance, etc., training needs assessment, process improvement study, etc.

The OD intervention is basically carried out in the organization when you want to redevelop the organization or want to make the processes more effective to improve overall productivity. The different OD interventions are as follows:

- Group intervention
- Team Building intervention
- Small group building intervention
- T-Group intervention
- Broad team building intervention
- 1-4 T system intervention (Likert's intervention)
- Many more interventions are available.
