My company is not accepting my resignation letter, but the acceptance is urgently needed by the new company that I have received an offer from. My current company's manager is not even replying to my emails. I am in great trouble because if I cannot produce the acceptance letter, the new company will not proceed further with my candidature.

I have given a 3-week notice period, even though the notice period was 1 month, but they are not contacting me or responding to my emails. I cannot understand what they actually want. I am also willing to give my last month's salary if they require it since I am not serving the full 1-month notice period, but they have put me in an uncertain situation by not responding since I submitted my resignation on 6th March.

Please suggest to me what I should do.

How to Ensure Your Resignation is Acknowledged

Send your resignation letter via registered post with an acknowledgment card to your employer. Keep a copy for yourself. Attach the post office bill receipt to the top right corner of the letter and send a scanned copy to your new employer. This will serve as proof that you have submitted the letter.

After submitting your resignation, you are free to leave after the 30-day notice period as specified in your appointment order. If you wish to leave earlier, you may be required to reimburse the salary for the notice period; negotiation may be necessary.
