I think the industrial age brought the Factory Act when people started creating tools and utensils for their personal and professional use. The act may be amended by lawyers and attorneys as per requirements. The actual criteria you may have to see the Factory Act for the state. But minimum guidelines should be followed, especially in today's competitive environment where the relationship between employees and employers is more complex. Employers may pay you double money, but they expect double work and delivery to the client. If there are gaps, it means it's not happening! So, focus on the minimum and basics for each department alongside the Factory Act!

Thank you for your reply. This question was asked by an HR Manager during my interview. He asked me, "Do you know the categories of industries as per the Pollution Control Board?" I answered. Following that, he asked me again, "Do you know the categories of industries as per the Factories Act?" I responded, "I am not aware."
This is the context of the question. There are three categories of industries as per the PCB, namely Red, Orange, and Green, based on their potential for causing pollution. I presumed there might be something related to the Factories Act as well. Unfortunately, I forgot to inquire about it during the interview, hence why I am posting this question here.

The Factories Act categorizes hazardous industries separately from others. In addition to that, the safety requirements have been specified for each type of industry in the Factory Act Rules.

Does the Shop Act have any interface with the Industry Act? Can I have a shop in a factory land area or a factory in a shop land area? In both cases, what is the effect on retired persons? Do they hire or fire young manpower?
