Hi, I have worked for a company since July 2, 2007, and resigned on May 1, 2008. I had a notice period of one month, but due to some urgency, I wasn't able to serve the full notice period. They accepted my resignation and issued the resignation acceptance letter along with a no-dues form from all departments.

My question is, am I eligible to receive my PF?

First, check if your PF was deducted or not. If yes, then you may have the PF account number mentioned on the salary slip. You are definitely eligible for PF withdrawal if you did not continue with the other organization where your PF is deducted.

Thank you for your reply. My PF was deducted every month, but the PF number was not mentioned on my salary slip. I have completed all the formalities with no dues from every department and filled out Form 19 to withdraw my PF.

Receiving PF Without a Relieving Letter

I would like to know if, as per HR policy, I can receive my PF without a relieving letter. I have the acceptance of resignation with me.

Apart from what Vinod Bidwaik has told, would like to mention that PF withdrawal has nothing to do with Notice Period shortfall

Where did you submit the PF withdrawal form? Take the acknowledgment of the same, and thereafter check online for the status. Normally, within 3-4 weeks of your submission of the withdrawal form, the amount gets credited to your bank account.

The person is speaking incorrectly. Kindly go to the EPFO website and search for your Merchant/Establishment code and your membership number. Thereafter, fill out the withdrawal form with your PF number, get it attested by your Bank Branch Manager, and submit it directly to the PF Office. You will receive your money.

Hi, Thanks for your reply, Saji. However, that is the problem—my PF number was not mentioned in my salary slip, and they are not willing to disclose it.

Steps to Find Your PF Number

As I mentioned earlier, please visit the EPFO website and search for the establishment. You will find the code there. After that, search for the employee using the serial number along with your establishment code to find your PF number. I am attaching the manual for establishment/employee name search for your reference. If you still need any assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Enclosed is the manual for establishment/employee name search for your reference. If you still require any help, please feel free to write.
