I am working for a company based out of Gurgaon, and some of our employees are from Delhi. There is an election in Delhi on 4th Dec 2013. Since there are no local elections, declaring a holiday by the company does not make sense because only a few employees come from Delhi. Should the company declare a holiday only for those who stay in Delhi, and for others, it would be normal working? Or is there a standard practice that other Gurgaon companies follow? Could someone kindly provide some thoughts/inputs/comments on the same.
