Understanding Maharashtra Labor Laws for Leave Policies

Maharashtra labor laws regarding CL (Casual Leave), PL (Privilege Leave), PH (Public Holidays), and SL (Sick Leave) are crucial to understand, especially for a new hospital looking to implement a leave policy and other policy manuals. Could you please provide information on the minimum compulsory leaves that an employee is eligible for during the probation period and after confirmation? Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on the maternity leave policy.

Thank you.

Any person employed continuously for 240 days a year or otherwise is eligible for 21 days of leave. Such leave may be accumulated up to a maximum period of forty-two days.

Any person employed for less than 3 months in a year is eligible for leave every 60 days, with a maximum of 5 days of leave. Paid holidays, as declared by Maharashtra, entitle every employee to a holiday irrespective of the period of employment. He or she is entitled to a holiday on 26th January, 1st May, 15th August, and 2nd October every year.
