Dear Seniors,

I worked in a consultancy for 7 months and have now shifted to a new company. Here, there is no PF and Pension deducted because we are fewer in number. I want to know if I am eligible to withdraw my PF and Pension in a lump sum. Can you please advise me on the amount I could receive for both PF and Pension if my Basic + DA is Rs. 3210?

Thank you.

Your Basic + DA: Rs. 3210
PF - Employee Contribution: 12%
PF - Employer Contribution: 12% (3.67% PF + 8.33% Pension) + 1.61% (Including Admin, EDLI & EDLI Admin Charges)
Pension: 8.33%
Total Months of Work: 7

Calculation Details

- PF: 3210 * 12% + 3.67% = 385 + 118 = 503
- Pension: 3210 * 8.33% = 267
- Total Amount: 503 + 267 = 770 * (7 months) = 5393

The final amount you will get is around Rs. 5393. You are able to withdraw your amount after filling out Form 19 (PF) and Form 10C (Pension Scheme).

Dear Seniors,

I have received my Provident Fund only and not the Pension amount, and the PF too in a lesser amount. When I approached my previous employer, they said that I only worked for 7 months and thus can claim only 6 months of the PF amount. Since they have calculated my experience as 6 months, I am not eligible to claim a Pension in this case.

Now, my question is: am I eligible to claim the Pension amount for which I have worked? Please answer my query, as I am feeling frustrated about this matter.

Thanks and Regards,
Priya T

Have you filled Form 10C (Pension Withdrawal Form) along with Form 19 (PF Withdrawal Form)? If not, please fill and submit them to the PF office as soon as possible. If yes, then contact the PF office to inquire about the status of the same. You are eligible to claim against the Employee Pension Scheme (EPS). No need to worry about this matter.
