Respected Sir,
I quit my job and now applying for PF. What documents do I need to provide along with the PF and pension form? I need guidance regarding my queries. I request you to please help me with the same.
1. I am single, so I want to keep my mother's name as the nominee in PF and pension. Can I keep my mother's name as my nominee? If yes, then what details about her do I need to provide? My mother stays in my hometown, and I am working in Mumbai, while my previous organization is based in Delhi.
2. Can I keep my married sister as a nominee?
3. After my old organization sends the withdrawal form to the Delhi PF office, how many days does it take to get my PF in Mumbai?
4. What other documents do I need to submit to support my PF withdrawal application?
Thanks and Regards

Dear Bodhi,
Answer for your above query:
1. You can mention your mother's name as the nominee for P.F., but for pension, the nominee should be a blood relative.
2. Yes, the nominee is only for PF.
3. After sending to the PF office, it usually takes between 45 days to 3-4 months.
4. Bank passbook photocopy (front page) is required. For ECS provision, you have to attach a crossed cheque or a photocopy of 3A.
I hope you are satisfied with the above answers. If you have any further questions, please seek advice from your seniors.
Regards, Kenneth

Dear Mr. Bodhi,
First of all, I want to know the years of service you have put in so far in your old organization.
1. To claim your PF amount, the first thing they will check is that you should not be employed in any other organization. If you are employed, they will ask you to transfer your account to the new concern.
2. If you have served for over ten years, then your pension can't be claimed. Instead, you can get a scheme certificate which you can later claim as an early pension at the age of your retirement.
3. You do not need to provide any supporting documents for nominees. Also, I am not sure about your married sister being your nominee. Please confirm that.
4. After resigning from your organization, you are eligible to claim your PF amount two months later. From the date of dispatch from your organization, it will take another 1 or 1.5 months to receive your claim in your bank account. This was the practice in Chennai. Please check with your area.
Seniors, please let me know if there are any faults or false responses in my reply.
Thank you.
Warm regards

I have some confusion about the PF pension claim. In case the employee is unable to provide their date of birth at that time, what are the steps to file the pension forms? Please help me.
