Employee Retention Challenges

Interesting article! The foremost reason for employees leaving an organization is largely based on the factor that they feel threatened about their job, income, etc. Even involuntary terminations can have workforce effects. Losing employees is a serious issue, and retention techniques should be implemented by employers through careful practices.

Identifying Employee Retention

The preeminent way to identify employee retention is through group/individual surveys and weighing the results appropriately. This is the only effective way to improve retention and employee relations.

Apart from the listed "internal" reasons, I would like to discuss "external" reasons for people to leave:

1. Employee leaving for full-time higher education - in India or abroad
2. Employee relocating after marriage - both males & females
3. Female employee leaving after childbirth, particularly if they are in a nuclear family.
4. Employee receiving an offer from Gulf States - to earn a quick buck, etc.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance or information.
