Dear All,

My boss told me that Induction & checklist are the same, but I'm not satisfied with his answer. I think Induction & checklist are different, and these two words have different meanings.

Request for Self-Assessment Format

Please send me the Self-Assessment Format of training that evaluates one person's knowledge. It's very urgent because my boss asked me for the Assessment format.

Query Regarding Password-Protected Files

I have one query: when I open any format sent by you, it asks for a password. How can I open your PowerPoint format file? Please guide me.

Request to please solve my query.

Best Regards,
Indu

Induction is an initiation process that introduces new joiners to the history, culture, organization chart, processes, HODs, etc. A checklist is a structured form used for collecting and analyzing data, serving as a generic tool adaptable for various purposes in quality control. The checklist is designed to outline the items needed from a new joiner (such as a set of documents) during the joining formalities conducted by HR.

There are several self-assessment forms previously shared on this forum. I request you to utilize the "Research" feature at the top to find the desired forms according to your requirements. For your convenience, you can access the self-assessment form at https://www.citehr.com/19729-self-as...rspective.html. Additionally, please be advised that no formats are password-protected unless a member voluntarily chooses to secure the document. Such instances are uncommon on this platform. I encourage you to explore more documents that are currently in use by members of the Cite Community.

Maybe your boss is referring to an Induction Checklist? If so, then it is the same thing. An Induction Checklist basically means the different events (as mentioned by others) that need to be carried out as part of an Induction process. For every event completed, both new staff and the person responsible for that specific event need to acknowledge it. Once the whole process is completed, a final signature and form are submitted to HR for filing into the personal file of the employee.

Separately, if you do not understand or disagree with your boss, it is better to get further clarifications from the horse's mouth than to play the guessing game... that's what communication is about.
