First and foremost, while raising the query, business etiquette demands disclosure of basic information like the nature of your company, industry, where your company is located (it appears to be in Goa), your designation, your role in the company, etc.

Employment of apprentices is under the provisions of the Apprentice Act 1961. You can download the PDF file of this act from Google. Later, I recommend you visit the Employment Exchange of your area and obtain more information from the Employment Officer. Later, you need to register your company. The number of apprentices to be appointed will be decided by the Employment Officer.

If your company is registered under the Shops and Establishment Act, then I recommend not to get into registration. Though the Apprentice Act does not differentiate according to the company registration under either the Shops and Establishment Act or Factory Act, it is more driven by the latter.

However, if yours is a factory, then you may go ahead with the registration. Today's apprentices are tomorrow's workers. Employing apprentices will ensure a steady stream of workers.
