My name is Manshad, and I am working in a firm as an HR executive. My company has a policy that all confirmed office employees can avail of alternate Saturdays off, in addition to Sundays off. The office duty timing is 8 hours, including a lunch break and tea break. Now, we are planning to give off every Saturday. I have to submit a proposal to the management on this. Can I give a proposal by increasing the duty time? Please advise on how your company follows this.

Our company used to work on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, and we used to have the 2nd and 4th Saturdays as weekly off. Our office timing at that time was from 9:00 to 5:00 and 9:30 to 5:30. We then issued a notice that all Saturdays would be given as a weekly off, leading us to change our office timings from 9:00 to 6:00 and 9:30 to 6:30. This change was well accepted by our management and employees.
