Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board Handbook
Happy New Year to you all. I am attaching the handbook issued by the Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Board. Since we have deducted Rs.7.00 from our employees as a TNLWB contribution, this manual will explain the benefits for the employees from the Board.

Please also note that taking a mediclaim policy is not a statutory welfare benefit. It is essentially an additional welfare provision provided by the company for the betterment of their employees.
If your company is not covered under the ESI Act (due to non-coverage in the area or employees exceeding the wage ceiling of Rs 15,000), it is not the correct approach to consider a mediclaim policy as an alternative. In such cases, we should opt for the Employees' Compensation Act (formally known as the WC Act).
