There are various universities in the USA that provide full-time or distance learning courses in HR Management. I believe that it would be more beneficial for your career growth. You can explore all universities in your area and try to find related courses in HR.

I am not sure if this would be relevant for you since you are in the US, but I hope that it can shed some light on things.
A year back, I was planning to migrate to Canada. They have a professional body of HR specialists called CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional). While as an immigrant, you don't get very good jobs in the domain you want immediately, joining this organization will help.
1) They offer certificate courses that teach you the basic HR practices, etc., in the country.
2) You get to interact with other professionals in the same domain.
3) Being a credible organization, students carry good recommendations for jobs.
Now, I am not sure if this organization has an extended reach in the US, but you can research and find out. Possibly, the same organization or an organization of the same stature will be your best bet.
On the other hand, if you are inclined to join a college/university online degree, it is the least recommended of the lot. Perhaps it's better that you do a part-time/weekend certificate course from various colleges as they carry more credibility than online courses.

I mean, what is the perception of online graduates by employers? Also, which areas of study and work do online courses fit into? I'll appreciate your thoughts.
