Hi,
I am in this strange situation.
I am currently working in a public sector enterprise (A), which is a subsidiary of another major PSU (B). I am currently in my probation period where there is no notice period. However, I am under a bond obligation for 3 years. Recently, I got selected for another major PSU (C) for which I applied before joining A but have received the NOC from A for appearing in the interview.
I have tendered my resignation from A on 8th March and requested them to relieve me by 21st March since 29th March was my joining date in C. However, due to a delay in processing the release from A, I extended my joining in C to 25th April, as C is not ready to let me join without a release letter from A. Recently, I was asked by the HR from A to further extend my joining date since my resignation acceptance has been sent to B as it is the governing body. So, I further extended my joining to 1st June.
Now I am worried that if I am not released before 1st June, what if C does not give me a further extension, meaning I lost the job in C. And if A releases me after that, I lost my job in A as well. In such a case, I am jobless.
What can I do? Keeping in mind I am in probation where there is no notice period, but A is taking almost 3 months to release me only due to negligence.
Please help..!!

Hello 666_666,
You haven't mentioned how you are handling the bond. Also, did you FIRST discuss with HR BEFORE submitting your resignation? You mentioned, there's no notice period during the probation—not sure if that can be right. Usually, it's lesser than after confirmation, but not 'zero' duration. Please recheck your Appointment Letter.
Prima facie, it looks like A is playing around, taking advantage of your ignorance/missing out on the procedure. If you haven't addressed anything regarding your 3-year bond, there's a possibility that finally they may come back to say—you have a bond, so serve till 3 years & then go. Please wait for views of other members of this forum.

Thank you for your replies.
Regarding the bond, as per DPE guidelines, the bond is transferable from PSU to PSU. I have obtained an NOC for appearing in the interview, and A is ready for bond transfer to C. C has also agreed to the same.
Regarding the notice period - yes, it is a zero notice period during probation, as well mentioned in the HR policy.
The main problem I am facing is due to the slow processing of my resignation by A initially. I submitted my resignation on 8th March, but the application was sent to B for acceptance only on 13th April. Furthermore, upon reviewing the file processing time at B through their File Movement system, I noticed that cases of resignation and bond transfer take over a month to receive approvals. This is causing concerns for me, although it may not happen in my case. But you never know.
To secure a recent time extension from C until 1st June, I wrote to HR at A seeking clarification on my release. HR responded, suggesting me to obtain an extension from C as my application is in process. In line with this reply, C agreed to grant the extension. I am unsure if I will need to further extend beyond 1st June, whether C will agree or not based on A's HR reply (logically, C should, as there is nothing I can do and my resignation is being processed, and A, B, C are all PSUs).
I hope I have presented my case clearly here.
