Could anyone please provide a sample template for a driver log sheet? We need to monitor the drivers' in-time, out-time, their trips, kilometers done in a day, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Dear Anuja,

Please make it simple. Print your company's name in the top center with the caption "LOG SHEET."

Regn No_______________
Vehicle Name ______________________
Driver Name ________________________
Date _________________

Create columns for entry as follows:
Start Time | Start Km | Close Time | Close Km | Place Visited | User Name | User Sign

Daily, ensure you collect the log sheet to prevent mass corruption. Verify user details and accept entries if genuine. If any discrepancies arise, clarify with the driver and user.

Regular entries will simplify monthly billing processes.

Dear Anuja,

You can use the attached sheet. Also, do make a policy for the usage of vehicles. The person taking the vehicle should get approval from the authorized person. The security personnel must keep track of the starting kilometers and note them in the log sheet. When ending the use, the individual must write the kilometers. If the vehicle is returning to the destination, the security personnel should note the closing kilometers.

Thank you.

Dear Anuja,

If you are in Delhi, like metro cities or near any cantonment, you can easily get a vehicle logbook from any military stores. I welcome other's guidance. I suggest one more thing. You work out the particular vehicle's mileage test from any standard workshop. Give a little relaxation on the mileage and put it in your logbook. It will help you to work out fuel usage and find out any malpractice done or not.

Dear Mr. Surendra,

If you provide details of fuel consumption, it may lead the driver to engage in malpractice. Each vehicle will have a history card containing information such as the date of purchase, maintenance details, dates of major spare parts replacements, details of tire and tube changes, retreading information, overhaul details, fuel consumption data, and depreciation at the end of the year.

Dear Anuja,

The Printed Log Book will be available in local stationery shops, which is an easier way compared to designing it in an Excel sheet. Practically, it is not possible to maintain it every day. At the end of each day or the following morning, the driver must report to the HR department for verification. This is the process we follow in our office.
